Linux Admin and Developer

CreditCorp Inc. Australia’s leading provider of responsible financial services in the credit-impaired consumer segment is currently looking for Linux Admin and Developers to join our rapidly growing Company that spans across Australia, New Zealand, USA and Philippines.

Some responsibilities & duties include but not limited to:

  • ‍Developing and maintaining shell scripts and command-line tools using the Bash scripting language
  • Working with system administrators and DevOps engineers to automate repetitive tasks and streamline workflows
  • Collaborating with software developers to integrate Bash scripts with applications and services
  • Troubleshooting and debugging scripts and command-line tools
  • Documenting code and providing support to end-users
  • Staying up-to-date with the current trends and advancements in Bash scripting and related technologies

 

What we are looking for:

Primary Skills

  • Unix programmer for development for Bash scripts
  • Linux skills to configure and troubleshoot
  • VPN capability and understanding
  • Application deployment
  • Application Packaging in Linux
  • Debian - Aptly for application updates
  • Linux driver deployment and troubleshooting
  • DKMS Experience
  • Knowledge of package management and driver installation
  • Linux Firewall management

 

Requirements & Skills

  • ‍Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a similar discipline
  • Proven experience as a Bash Developer or similar role
  • Strong understanding of Linux operating systems and shell scripting
  • Acquire experience with open-source tools and libraries, such as awk, sed, grep, and more
  • Familiarity with automation and configuration management tools, such as Ansible and Puppet
  • Good understanding of networking concepts and protocols
  • Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Working familiarity with Windows PowerShell
  • Fundamental understanding of OS commands
