Join our team as a Payroll Officer, where you’ll play a critical role in delivering accurate, compliant, and timely payroll services across Australia and other global regions. This is an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented payroll professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about delivering exceptional internal customer service.
You will take ownership of end-to-end payroll processing, ensuring all payments including salaries, bonuses, and superannuation are managed in line with legislative requirements. Partnering closely with Finance, HR, and external providers, you’ll ensure payroll accuracy, drive process improvements, and help maintain best-in-class payroll operations. Key Responsibilities:
- Manage end-to-end payroll processing for Australia, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery, including salaries, bonuses, superannuation, and terminations
- Coordinate international payroll (Philippines, US, NZ, UK), preparing inputs and validating outputs from outsourced providers
- Maintain payroll system integrity and ensuring employee records are accurate and up to date
- Prepare payroll reporting including journals, accruals, reconciliations, and statutory reporting obligations
- Administer salary packaging, support FBT reporting, and ensure all payroll deductions and benefits are correctly processed
- Provide high-quality support to employees and stakeholders, manage payroll queries, ensure compliance with legislation, and contribute to process improvements and system enhancements
What We’re Looking For:
- Previous payroll processing experience, with a solid understanding of end-to-end payroll processes, legislation, and compliance requirements
- Demonstrated experience with Employment Hero/KeyPay is essential, along with strong Microsoft Excel skills
- Exceptional attention to detail with strong organisational and problem-solving abilities
- Proven ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills with a customer-focused mindset and a sound understanding of HR and Finance processes
