We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join our Collection Services team and play a key role in driving strong client relationships, engaged teams and high performing outcomes across an automotive portfolio. This is a hands on role where you will lead day to day operational excellence, support a positive team environment and ensure we consistently deliver on our client commitments.

In this role, you will take primary responsibility for managing client partnerships, providing performance updates in governance forums and ensuring our teams are set up for success. You will work closely with other Operations Managers and key stakeholders to help shape our collections approach. You’ll also have the autonomy to design and recommend innovative strategies, processes and controls that not only meet but exceed performance expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive operational performance by achieving monthly targets, optimising daily workflows, allocating resources effectively and delivering strong revenue and profit outcomes.
  • Lead teams and people initiatives by supporting Team Performance Managers, overseeing recruitment and performance processes, embedding engagement and recognition programs, and fostering a positive, professional workplace culture.
  • Strengthen client and stakeholder relationships through effective communication, governance reporting, risk management and close collaboration.
  • Ensure compliance and quality standards by adhering to legislation, company policies, customer communication guidelines, escalation procedures, and complaint management protocols.
  • Champion continuous improvement and change by recommending system and process enhancements and supporting strategic projects.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Demonstrated experience across front, middle and back-end receivables workflows, with deep knowledge of collection strategies, tools, compliance requirements and aged‑debt recovery.
  • Strong analytical capability, numeracy skills, and a proven record of exceeding KPIs and delivering high revenue performance.
  • Excellent interpersonal, coaching and relationship‑building skills, with the ability to tailor communication to different audiences and learning styles.
  • Strong time‑management skills, resilience, ability to work under pressure, and a willingness to go the extra mile.
  • Advanced computer proficiency, strong written communication skills, and the ability to interpret and utilise large data sets to drive performance.
