The Role:
We're seeking an expert Data Engineer who is passionate about building scalable data infrastructure to support cutting-edge AI. You are a hands-on engineer who understands that trusted AI is built on a foundation of high-quality, reliable data. You have a proven track record of designing and implementing complex data pipelines, integrating diverse data sources, and ensuring data governance and quality in a production environment.
You are methodical, detail-oriented, and thrive on solving complex data challenges. As Credit Corp executes an ambitious roadmap to expand its AI capabilities, this role is critical. You will have the unique opportunity to build the data architecture and best practices that will underpin our AI future, creating a lasting impact on the organization.
You will have:
- Exceptional communication skills
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in data engineering, with a proven track record of building and managing production data pipelines.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Deep expertise in cloud data platforms, particularly GCP (BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Cloud Storage).
- Strong proficiency in SQL and programming languages like Python for data manipulation and pipeline development.
- Experience with data modelling, ETL/ELT design, and data warehousing concepts.
- Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
- Knowledge of data governance, data quality frameworks, and best practices for managing data in regulated environments.
- Experience with real-time data streaming technologies and event-driven architectures is highly desirable.
- Excellent organisation and time management skills
