We are urgently seeking an experienced Receipting and Banking Officer.

As a Receipting & Banking Officer, you'll play an important role in supporting the integrity of our financial operations by ensuring customer payments and banking transactions are processed accurately, reconciled promptly, and recorded in line with business requirements. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career finance professional who enjoys working with numbers, systems and high-volume transactional processing.

About the Role

Reporting to the Receipting Manager, you will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of daily receipts, bank reconciliations, financial reporting support and stakeholder query management. You'll work closely with operational teams and banking partners to ensure transactions are recorded correctly and financial records remain accurate and up to date.

Key Responsibilities

Daily Receipting & Banking

  • Process and reconcile daily receipts across multiple systems.
  • Download and review bank statements and transaction reports.
  • Reconcile receipts against bank account activity.
  • Investigate and resolve unidentified or unallocated transactions.
  • Process dishonoured payments, cheques and money orders.
  • Maintain high levels of accuracy and data integrity.

Reconciliations & Reporting

  • Perform daily and month-end bank reconciliations.
  • Prepare journal entries for upload into the general ledger.
  • Produce and distribute daily receipting and cash flow reports.
  • Support monthly reconciliation activities and financial close processes.
  • Assist with invoice preparation and associated finance administration.

Stakeholder Support

  • Respond to internal and external queries within agreed service levels.
  • Liaise with banking partners to investigate transaction issues.
  • Partner with operational teams to ensure smooth financial processes.
  • Contribute ideas and initiatives that improve efficiency and service delivery.

About You

You are a detail-oriented and organised professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment. You can manage competing priorities, work to deadlines and take pride in producing accurate work.

You will bring:

  • 1-2 years' experience in receipting, data entry, accounts payable, banking operations or a similar finance role.
  • Exposure to bank reconciliations and high-volume transaction processing.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Well-developed communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Intermediate computer and data-entry skills.
  • A positive, proactive and team-focused approach.
