We are looking for an experienced Technical Business Analyst to join our collaborative and outcomes focused Business Improvement team. Reporting to the Business Improvement Manager, you’ll play a key role in supporting enhancements across our lending platforms, credit decisioning processes, and core system capabilities.
In this role, you will apply your hands on technical expertise across SQL, APIs, XML/JSON, workflow‑driven systems, and data‑driven analysis to investigate issues, understand system behaviours, and translate technical requirements into clear, actionable improvements. You’ll work closely with stakeholders across Product, Technology, Operations, and Compliance to deliver meaningful business outcomes.
If you enjoy technical problem solving, diving into data, and shaping system improvements that drive tangible impact, we’d love to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyse XML/JSON payloads, APIs, and SQL data to identify defects, troubleshoot root causes, and uncover optimisation opportunities.
- Gather, analyse, and document business and system requirements, including user stories, process maps, data flows, and functional specifications.
- Translate business needs into actionable technical requirements that align with platform architecture and constraints.
- Collaborate with Product, Technology, Operations, and Compliance stakeholders to ensure requirements are well‑defined and agreed.
- Support testing and implementation by developing test cases, validating outputs, assisting with UAT, and communicating findings clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
What We’re Looking For:
- Prior experience as a Technical Business Analyst, ideally within Financial Services or Lending, with strong exposure to APIs, XML/JSON, and integration flows.
- Hands on experience with SQL (intermediate to advanced), able to analyse relational database data and extract insights; Power BI experience is a plus.
- Experience working with credit decisioning engines, rules engines, or complex workflow driven systems.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with a logical, detail‑oriented, and structured approach.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in Agile environments (e.g., Jira/Confluence) and translate technical concepts for non‑technical stakeholders.
What’s In It for You?
- Support the ongoing enhancement of Credit Corp’s lending platforms and decisioning capabilities by contributing to technical and data driven initiatives that have real impact across the organisation.
- Work end to end from initial concept through to delivery, gaining exposure to the full lifecycle of technical change, from problem discovery and requirements analysis through to solution design, testing, and implementation.
- Be part of a collaborative team in our Sydney CBD, with the flexibility of a hybrid work model for better work-life balance.
