About the Company

An Australian owned top 200 ASX listed financial services firm located in the CBD is seeking an experienced Data Warehouse Engineer/Analyst. We operate in multiple regions outside of Australia including the United States, the Philippines and New Zealand.

The Role

You will be part of the analytics team responsible for pricing asset portfolios, developing recommendations, and implementing strategies across the business. You will be working with key stakeholders of all levels from different parts of the business.  Key Responsibilities:

• To maintain and improve SAS warehouse processes
• Assist with warehouse design/infrastructure for best practices in areas such as data, code, and security
• Make sure all analytics platforms are available to be used everyday
• Assist analysts within the Analytics team in implementation of warehouse data for analysis, modelling, and reporting.
• Assist with implementation of operational processes. This may involve data washes, workflows, compliance, campaigns, reporting, warehouse changes or a combination of these items.
• Assist with Analytics senior members in performing data security policy and strategy review. This includes data reside in Analytics environment (files, folders, SAS data, excel spreadsheet), and user access

    Key Requirements:

• 3 to 5 years of commercial experience
• Strong analytical skills gained in general insurance, banking, consulting, or other highly analytical environments
• Strong interpersonal and presentation skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability & flexibility to work in a fast paced and demanding environment
• Motivated, self-starter. Ability to work unsupervised & manage multiple tasks at once.
• Minimum 3 years business experience
• Minimum 3 years Base SAS experience including  SQL and access to ODBC or SQL Server
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) and Python valued
