We are an Australian owned top 200 ASX listed financial services firm head quartered in the Sydney CBD. We operate globally with offices in Australia, New Zealand the United States and the Philippines.
We are looking to recruit Analytics to a newly formed division in our Philippine’s Makati office to support the group analytics function. Group analytics is responsible for all analytic functions of the company including pricing of debt contracts, asset management, business insight/reporting, data warehousing, consumer credit underwriting, and loans marketing support.
The duties and responsibilities outlined in a typical Senior Data Analyst/ Engineer job description include:
- Using a variety of data analysis tools to interpret and report on data
- Proactively suggesting improvement in the company’s processes or approaches based on their findings
- Reporting on past events, issues and trends so that other employees can learn from them.
- Acting as a liaison between different departments within the organisation
- Testing out new BI tools or analytics techniques to find better ways of analysing data
- Execution and improvement of processes that support operations (eg monthly account sweeps, leavers process, team changes, etc.)
- Provide frontline support and trouble-shooting for Creditport users
- Deploy new reports and implement improvements to existing reports
- Support internal analytics team to preform analysis and modelling
The hard and soft skills required in a typical Data Analyst/Engineer job description include:
- Strong understanding of statistical analysis techniques
- Math skills - including strong algebra and calculus comprehension, as well as readiness to learn new mathematical concepts whenever necessary
- The ability to communicate complex information effectively in report form in English.
- Familiarity with common software tools used for big data analysis. Must have solid programming experience in SAS, or SQL, or Python.
- Strong computer literacy, including proficiency in using spreadsheets and dashboards. Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel and Tableau.
- 7+ years of commercial experience.
- Tertiary qualification in mathematics, statistics, computer science, econometrics, or related fields
