A new opportunity for a Data and Reporting Analyst has recently opened to all interested.

The Data & Reporting Analyst will join the Decision Science team who is mainly responsible for providing analytical support to Baycorp/ Credit Corp teams and clients. This role is best suitable for someone who is keen to dealing with high volume of data and who has high scrutiny for detail.

The Data & Reporting analyst will support New Zealand, Australia and Manila sites in performing client-related tasks and processes including debt load, client account set up, datawashing, automated skip trace results processing and bureau default management. This role also entails updating on a regular basis a suite of existing reports for Operations, Strategy, Sales, Finance, Management team and external clients as well as delivering data extracts and new reports as requested by the different business units. The main tools that are being used in this role are MS Excel and SAS Enterprise Guide.

Role prerequisites:

  • Advanced MS Excel skills including macros, index+match, data validation, advanced formulae
  • Tertiary qualification in Statistics, Business, Computer Science, Information Management, Economics, Maths or other related discipline
  • You are highly analytical, curious, detail-oriented
  • Attention to detail is second nature to you
  • Previous experience in a role where you were required to work with data

What you will be doing:

  • Responsible for preparing, testing and loading debt accounts into collections system
  • Upload payment files and other external data files into collections system
  • Build and use MS Excel macros to format upload files
  • Perform datawashing of accounts to acquire contact leads from bureaus and process leads in the collections system
  • Upload default files and monitor that they are being sent to bureaus
  • Upload and process Centrix billing in the collections system
  • Create and maintain client accounts in the collections system
  • Prepare data extracts from SAS datamart for campaigns, exceptions and audit purposes
  • Update and maintain programs and report templates in MS Excel and SAS
  • Build new reports or dashboards on operational performance, campaign results and client profitability results

We are looking for:

  • Experience in data wrangling and reporting in a previous role
  • Good communication skills
  • Exceptional problem solving and analytical skills with the ability to improve processes
  • Resilient and can work gracefully under pressure
  • Advanced MS Excel user
  • Working knowledge of SAS programming / SAS Enterprise Guide
  • Working knowledge of other SQL programming or BI tools is a plus
  • Organised with great time management skills
  • Good customer focus and interaction in a professional manner
  • Self-awareness and self-development traits
  • Work accuracy and accountability is a must 
  • Attention to detail is second nature to you and you enjoy auditing, investigative type work
